Mutant Media FZC ("Mutant", "we", "us") is a creative and digital agency based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We deliver marketing strategy, brand positioning, social media management, content production, paid media, SEO and website, e-commerce and app development for businesses.

This policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit mutant.ae and our campaign landing pages, fill in one of our forms, subscribe to our updates, message us or work with us. For the personal data covered here, Mutant is the data controller.

Information you give us

• Contact details: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, company name and job title.
• Project information: your website or social handles, industry, goals, budget range, timelines and the answers you give in our campaign questionnaires and brand briefing forms.
• Subscriptions: the email address you use to sign up for launch updates or our newsletter.
• Correspondence: anything you send us by email, WhatsApp, social media direct message or phone.

Information collected automatically

• Technical data such as IP address, device type, browser, operating system, language and approximate location.
• Usage data such as pages viewed, time on page, the page that referred you and the actions you take, for example submitting a form.
• Campaign data such as UTM parameters and advertising click identifiers, so we know which advert or post brought you to us.

Information from third parties

We may receive your details from advertising platforms when you submit a lead form on them (for example Meta or LinkedIn), from referrals by partners or clients, and from publicly available business sources.

We use personal data only where we have a lawful reason to do so, namely:

• To respond to you and prepare audits, proposals and quotes you request, which is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
• To deliver our services and manage our client relationship, which is necessary to perform our contract with you or your organisation.
• To send updates and marketing about Mutant, based on your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email or by contacting us.
• To measure and improve our website and advertising, based on our legitimate interest in understanding which campaigns work, or on your consent where the law requires it.
• To keep things secure, prevent spam and fraud, and meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

We do not use your personal data for automated decisions that have legal effects on you.

Our website uses cookies, pixels and similar technologies to measure traffic and the performance of our advertising. These currently include:

• Google tag (Google Ads) to measure conversions from our Google campaigns.
• Meta Pixel to measure and optimise our Facebook and Instagram advertising.
• OpenAI Ads measurement pixelto measure conversions from our campaigns on OpenAI's advertising platform.
• Browser storage on your device to remember campaign parameters during a visit, so a form submission is credited to the right campaign.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage personalised advertising through Google Ad Settings and Meta Ad Preferences. Blocking some technologies may affect how parts of the site work.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting, databases, email delivery, CRM, analytics and advertising platforms. They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
• Production partners, such as photographers, videographers or developers, where needed to deliver a project you have engaged us for.
• Professional advisers, such as lawyers, auditors and accountants.
• Authorities, where we are required to by law or to protect our rights.
• A buyer or successor, if our business is reorganised, merged or sold.

Some of our service providers store or process data outside the UAE. When we transfer personal data abroad we take the steps required by applicable law, including the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), such as relying on contractual safeguards with the provider.

• Enquiries and leads: for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client.
• Client records: for the length of our engagement and afterwards for as long as UAE commercial and tax law requires.
• Newsletter and updates: until you unsubscribe.

We use access controls, encrypted connections and reputable providers to protect your personal data, and we limit access to the people who need it to do their job. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly if a breach occurs, including notifying you and the authorities where the law requires.

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
• correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• ask us to delete your data, or to restrict how we use it;
• object to processing, including direct marketing at any time;
• receive your data in a portable format; and
• withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email marketing@mutant.ae. We may need to verify your identity first. If you are unhappy with how we handle your request, you can complain to the UAE Data Office or, if you live in the EU or UK, to your local data protection authority.

When we manage social media accounts, run advertising, or build and maintain websites and apps for our clients, we may process personal data of their customers and followers. In those cases our client is the controller and we act on their instructions under our agreement with them. If your question relates to a brand we work with, please contact that brand directly and we will support them in responding.

Our website and services are aimed at businesses and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we will delete it.

Our site links to social platforms, client websites and other services we do not control. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
